Inclusive and appropriate programming
At Robert Smith School, we practice and promote an inclusive style of education as outlined by Manitoba Education and Appropriate Educational Programming.
We foster learning for all in a safe and inclusive environment! We embrace diversity, acceptance, and respect for one another in our community, and we understand that each individual is unique and has their own learning needs.
For our students who require additional programming and learning support, learning support teachers work collaboratively with classroom teachers, families, school counsellors, and community support workers.
Learning support teachers also collaborate with the clinical services through the Student Services Centre in the Lord Selkirk School Division.
Clinicians may include: Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Reading Clinicians, Physiotherapists, Inclusion Teachers, and Psychologists.
